My window was 8 a.m.–9 a.m. My technician did not show during the window. No call. No text. After an additional 60 minutes of waiting, I followed up with MW and was told there was a scheduling change, but I was up next. A technician arrived sometime around 2 p.m. Things happen. I understand not all scheduling windows can be adhered to, but I was disappointed by the lack of communication when the technician was unable to keep my window. I had to do the following up. I must have responded to five different confirmation notices from them; the least they can do is be proactive and keep me informed when they are unable to keep their window. When the technician arrived (Ryan), he was awesome. He explained all my options and walked me through all my questions. He very quickly resolved my issue and was on his way. The actual service was outstanding.

We have used Mike Williams for our HVAC for years after being pleased with their work installing a new sewer line on our property. Appreciate the pleasant attitude and knowledge of their technicians like Jason Head and Dustin Leverenz, and we use the membership which allows annual AC and furnace checks. Pleased with the responsiveness from the office when scheduling appointments. They only send out reminders for annual checks, and they text us ahead of time with an ETA and the photo and name of the technician they are sending, which is a nice security feature!

Actually forgot to comment. Originally called and they scheduled me the next day, but called that day due to busyness and asked if it was OK to reschedule and I agreed. They called the day before the reschedule to move my appointment time up. The repairman Kirk couldn't have done a better job to represent both himself and the company as knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We discussed what I had in mind for the repairs and addons. Not only was the work done quickly but exceeded my expectations, so I can understand that the original appointment was rescheduled because they were only giving their customers the time and attention that the projects require the same way that mine were focused on and completed. I was impressed enough to take advantage of a 6 month membership with the company. As for the repairman Kirk, I could easily see why he is one of your top employees, if not the top employee, working for this company. 5 stars and would highly recommend!

Dave came out for a service call for concern of a pipe leak and a faucet not working. He offered to fix them himself, but also recognized that being able to save some money here and there is nice too! This was supposed to be an emergent service call, but once Dave identified the issues were not emergent and did not need any attention from him today, he turned my visit into a routine plumbing inspection and identified a few issues to help with maintenance and prevention of future problems! Kirk Donley, with Mike Williams, did the usual yearly plumbing check for members. I've been slowly updating my house, so I knew there were a handful of costs this year I'd be having MW address. Kirk cheerfully showed me what concerns he'd found, what options I had to address them, and the price breakdown. I had them install a new larger water heater after finally accepting the old one was a danger. Also, some new shut off valves for the house were installed, and sink plumbing was standardized. Sure, it cost a bit, but the technicians from MW have always been very forthright and honest about what all is being done. Also, they do pass along plenty of knowledge homeowners should pick up.

During a heavy rain, my sump pump alarm was going off. Thankfully, my backup pump kept us dry. I called Mike Williams to evaluate my main pump. I recently just closed on a manufactured home in Ridge Village Park, Springfield, Illinois, but never bothered to test the AC unit until the power and gas were out of the park's name and into mine, and I didn’t think to turn it on just because of the fact all I was doing at the moment was moving my things into the home. I wasn’t even sleeping there just yet, but the time came to where I eventually got Ameren out here to make the transition and come to find out my AC didn’t work. I called this company off a leap of faith hoping that they could get to the bottom of it, and they responded with an investigation team, Austin and Nick, who figured out that my home doesn’t even have the wiring/coils/hardware to even receive AC and that my furnace isn’t even high enough off the ground to even receive AC, on top of the brand I have was discontinued in 2012. The two guys, Austin and Nick, were able to temporarily switch things around so that I could at least have the fan system going, which led them to inform me that I would need to get an entirely new updated AC unit installed and that I could get a free quote just for that from the company that responded hours later with another member of the company to do that in a timely manner as well. Highly recommending this company for your air conditioning needs. Thank you, Austin and Nick, good job on getting to the bottom of things 100%.

Also, the Peace of Mind program has been a great investment to make sure everything is doing well and avoid inconvenient and expensive surprises. All of their techs have been very professional and knowledgeable, but also very friendly and personable. Most have happily walked me through what they were doing and why, and offered advice on what to watch out for and what I/they could do about it. It's always great to keep customers informed, and I love learning. Most recently Greg was out for an annual checkup, and he is an excellent example of what an ideal customer-facing technician should be and do! Of course, as soon as winter hit and temperatures had begun to get below freezing, we were having issues with our furnace igniting. Our furnace was fixed within four hours of making our first and only phone call to Mike Williams Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning. Our technician, Austin Key, was very punctual and extremely diligent on getting our issue resolved for us. Not only did he have an hour commute to get here, but he also inspected another furnace of ours before he left to hit the road back to Springfield. Although the service ended up being a little more expensive than we had first anticipated, we are very satisfied with the outcome. 10/10 would recommend!

I have not been compensated in any way for this review. I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Mike Williams, specifically the plumber that came out to my home, Dave Rapps. When I called Mike Williams, I was quickly greeted by a person who was able to get me in contact to make a non-emergency repair the next day (awesome!). The next day I received a call to let me know that Dave was on his way in 15–45 minutes; he was there in about 15 minutes. Dave quickly diagnosed my issue, came up with a few solutions, and completed the job in a very clean and professional manner. Dave also discussed in detail an inspection program Mike Williams offers and how our home could benefit from it. I’m very happy with the service I received from the Mike Williams company. I had a gas leak in my utility room, and they were able to get someone out to me in less than 24 hours. Once the gas leak was repaired, I ended up needing a new water heater, which they were also able to get handled in less than 24 hours. Both Cole and Ryan were on time, communicated with me about what was needed and any next steps, and were overall extremely helpful (even for things unrelated to the initial call. I can’t say enough nice things about them. I called yesterday morning because my A/C stopped working, and they called saying they’d have to postpone because they had other jobs that had taken up the rest of the day. I wasn’t able to reschedule due to work, and I was stressed because I was worried to push the repair because with it being so hot out I was scared to have my dog at home alone in the heat. I have an annual maintenance program with Mike Williams Plumbing and Heating. They contacted me in regards to my annual furnace check-up. Bill March was the HVAC technician who came out to the house. While Bill was cleaning the furnace, he noticed that the flare sensor was worn out and needed to be replaced. He had the part and made the necessary change. I was very thankful that Bill noticed this part needed to be replaced and most likely saved me from having to make an emergency call after regular hours in the middle of the winter.

Josh came out to fix a leak. The plumbing was originally a DIY job from YEARS ago. Josh quickly realized we had more than one problem and we were “out of code.” He gave us 3 different levels of fix including installation of a garbage disposal, something I have always wanted. Josh was very thorough in his explanation of each fix and the prices associated. Josh had to overcome the issue of an old DIY - surely every professional’s nightmare. The project was not easy and Josh just kept his cool. He had to go outside to the truck and back inside the house several times; he was very diligent in removing his shoe covers every time, and putting them back on as he came back in. I was very impressed with his adherence to this practice, which had to be annoying. He was professional, personable and polite. We are happy with the job he did. He was excellent!
